  I visited on a Friday night a few weeks ago to catch up with friends. The food was nice and the beer was good but it is hardly a happening place. It does lack atmosphere. Considering it's prime location and it's the only venue next to Strathfield Station I tend to think this venue rests on its passing trade and hasn't step it's game. It's essentially the same as was 4 decades ago. A shame really given the position it could be so much more.

  Amazingly relaxed ambiance. Really comfortable place. Loved being here for an after-work chill.

  Very chilled. The bartenders were nice and friendly and the atmosphere for world cup quarter finals was very welcoming. Felt very cosy and spacey at the same time.

  Enjoy my time here and always recommend others to try it. The outdoor area is heated and cooled with mist in the summer. Doesnt get overly crowded which surprised me when it's a pretty good place hang back with a beer and chill with mates while watching the game or maybe or playing a bit of pool. The food is decent but I do have a issue with their chips.. they're like a potato per chip they're huge. I like thick chips but not 2x4s!
