  I had dinner here last night and whilst most of the time the meals been pretty good. I have the roast of the day (pork) and my partner had the fish chowder. Half way through the meal she found 2 pieces of plastic the size of a finger nail in the chowder, I also found a piece in mine that was a little bigger, not to mention most of my food was barely warm, pork over cooked and the crackling was soft. I think next time I have a problem I will ask to speak to a manager and not just mention it to the wait staff as nothing was done. This experience has put a downer on me going back even though it has a great atmosphere. Update: 21/5/18 Had the usual dinner with no complaints Seafood chowder and roast of the day (pork) with extra crackling.

  Had a meal there on a Tuesday night. Atmosphere was quiet. Food was good. Service was ok but a couple of staff were a bit unfriendly - most of the staff were lovely though. Currently upgrading car park so parking is across the street mostly. Entrance is obscured but directions to get in were clear.
