  Older style hotel, resting gently amongst buildings of similar style and architectural facades and conveniently located near a train station, bus stop, cafes and supermarkets. Be prepared. This is not your gleaming, brand new, stylishly modern hotel with all mod-cons, but rather a genteel, laid back, quirky establishment which has seen many years of use and is unapologetic about showing its age and heritage. There are many wings, stairs, corridors, lifts and levels so take note of this, else finding your way back to your room after a night out at nearby Kings Cross night spots could get challenging. I like this place and have stayed here many times because i appreciate its genteel charm and that it evokes images of Kings Cross seeder past history. But don't be alarmed this area is now very gentrified with apartments and newer high-rise and i have found it quite safe. The best rooms are higher levels nearer to the back and with nice views across the harbour at sunrise. Front rooms lower down tend to gather in the street traffic noise which doesn't seem to let up all Fri/Sat nights. If you like or even find excitement in other decade charms, can negotiate stairs, easily navigate multiple level corridors, find tiny lifts quaint and are looking for a (very) economical price, this place is for you. Oh yeah, the view from the top floor conference room, breakfast area and restrooms in the mornings is worth the price of breakfast, especially if its included in the room price.

  I had the most wonderful stay. They've got a really good rate compared to nearby hotels. The staff are all so friendly. My room was really comfortable and the view from it was stunning. Pool was in great condition, enjoyed swimming there. I'd consider staying here again in the future.

  A six - storey basic facility hotel. I stayed on the 4th storey and had to climb up a few steps after exiting the elevator as there are some rooms that are three steps above the elevator floor level. If you or your guest(s) require access for the disabled, be sure to request the hotel for rooms that are of the same level as the elevator floor. There are only three power outlets: one shaver outlet in the bathroom, one in the Pantry and one near the TV. Do bring along your own bank of power outlets so that you can charge your electronic devices conveniently. Plus points are that the Room is relatively spacious as the one I stayed in had three super single beds for my family while still allowing good space for circulation. While no bedroom slippers are provided, the carpeted flooring is clean and doesn't feel sticky when walking barefooted.

  Great place and clean. Also a good location and view of the harbour. The styling is a little old.

  Great location, clean basic 3 star hotel. Courteous staff with reasonable pricing. Suitable for families, all rooms do not have step free access. Recommended under value for money, good place to stay with a weekend market 2 mins away.
